Avg weight Male: > 5.4 kg

Coat type: Long, soft, cotton-like coat.

Coat colours and body type: A medium build cat with short, strong legs. The Chinchilla breed comes in one colour combination of white with green eyes.  

Grooming required: High - daily brush, and wipe face of tears to avoid skin irritation.

Similar Breeds: Persian, Burmilla, Australian Tiffanie.

Health Profile: Brachycephalic, jaw deformities, dental disease, excessive tear production, facial skin irritation, eye disease, polycystic kidney disease (PKD).

 

Chinchilla temperament

The Chinchilla is a sweet-natured, loving and affectionate cat. They will generally be calm and quiet to have around.
