Coat type: Thick waterproof coat, medium to long in length with a long bushy tail. Extra fur helps to keep the cat warm, which is good for cold climate areas.
Coat colours and body type: The Maine Coon is the largest domestic cat breed. They come in 75 different colour combinations, with the most common being the brown tabby. Eye colour is typically brown or blue or one of each. No two Maine Coons look the same.
Grooming required: Little grooming, once a week.

Maine Coon temperament
Known as the 'gentle giant', the Maine Coon is known for its sweet, kitten-like disposition. They possess above-average intelligence, which makes them easy to train. They are loyal to their owner and enjoy playing fetch, playing in the water and playing with their own food. They are also known for being very vocal cats.
