Coat type: Siamese Orientals have a short, sleek, fine-textured coat that lies close to the skin.
Coat colours and body type: Siamese Oriental cats are a medium build with long, lean, bodies. Much like their Siamese ancestors, they have a wedge-shaped head, almond-shaped eyes, and tall ears. They are essentially Oriental cats with Siamese coat point and patterning.
Grooming required: Low - weekly brush.
Similar Breeds: Siamese, Spyhnx, Cornish Rex.
Health Profile: Hepatic amyloidosis, mediastinal lymphoma, asthma, bladder stones, glaucoma, progressive retinal atrophy.
Siamese Oriental temperament
Siamese Orientals, though they carry the Siamese pointed patterning, are still considered Orientals and thrive amongst: children, other cats, dogs, lots of activity and commotion. They love attention and have been known to enjoy sleeping under the covers with you.
