A little about the Black and Tan Coonhound
The Black and Tan Coonhound is a breed that loves to run, and can determinedly follow a scent for kilometres. Originally bred to hunt raccoons they retain their strong hunting drive outdoors, but also make calm, friendly pets indoors.
BLACK AND TAN COONHOUND HEALTH INFORMATION
The most common health issue the Black and Tan Coonhound encounters is Canine Hip Dysplasia. They are otherwise a fairly healthy breed, though their desire to follow a scent can lead to misadventure. Less common conditions include ectropion (the rolling outwards of eyelids) and hypothyroidism.
