A little about the Bluetick Coonhound
The Bluetick Coonhound are a breed that is affectionate, playful, and good-natured. While these qualities make them a good pet they can be stubborn and their intelligence means they need physical and mental stimulation to remain occupied.
BLUETICK COONHOUND HEALTH INFORMATION
Most common health issues in Bloodhound's are related to their deep skin folds and floppy ears. Due to these, they are prone to skin fold dermatitis and ear infections (Otitis Externa). They are also predisposed to eye conditions (Ectropion, Entropian), hypothyroidism and Canine Hip and Elbow Dysplasia. As a deep-chested breed they also at risk of Gastric Torsion (bloat).
