A little about the Curly-Coated Retriever

The Curly-Coated Retriever is an adventurous energetic breed, well suited to an active family with older children. Whilst they are headstrong, the Curly Coated Retriever is also kind, loyal and sensitive and they are occasionally used as assistance dogs.

The Curly-Coated Retriever is generally very healthy. Like many active breeds, it is prone to Canine Hip (and less commonly Elbow) Dysplasia. Occasionally they suffer from eye conditions (entropion, distichiasis) and cardiac disease.

Please be advised the information provided is purely an indicator of breed traits and characteristics and that within some breeds there can be significant variation.
