A little about the Gordon Setter

The Gordon Setter is a very lively dog, who can make an enthusiastic and devoted companion for the right active family. They have a higher protective instinct than some other breeds, meaning they can be wary of strangers and new dogs.

The Gordon Setter is a dog who loves to exercise and most common health issues arise if this outlet is not provided. They are also prone to Canine Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Hypothyroidism, Cerebellar Abiotrophy and like all deep-chested dogs- Gastric Volvulus (bloat).

Please be advised the information provided is purely an indicator of breed traits and characteristics and that within some breeds there can be significant variation.
