The Irish Red and White Setter is an exuberant bundle of energy, who is also highly intelligent and affectionate. Their level of enthusiasm means they require a large amount of exercise but can make an excellent pet for an active family. 



The Irish Red and White Setter is a powerfully built working dog and have few health concerns. They are prone to Canine Hip Dysplasia and more occasionally Canine Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency, Von Willebrands disease, and Cataracts.
