A little about the Italian Pointer

 

The Italian Pointer or "Bracco Italiano" is one of the oldest gun dog breeds, and was originally bred to scent out hiding birds. They are highly intelligent, affectionate and devoted to their family. They love to be with their people and their high energy levels mean they need daily exercise to stay content.

The Italian Pointer may be predisposed to the following health conditions: Canine Hip and Elbow Dysplasia, Entropian, Ectropian, Panosteitis and Otitis Externa (ear infections).
