A little about the Italian Spinone

The Italian Spinone are kind and friendly, full of personality and energy. They love new adventures and need lots of stimulation which can be channeled into agility and obedience competitions.

The Italian Spinone is predisposed to Canine Hip (and less commonly Elbow) Dysplasia. More minor health concerns include Ectropian, ear infections (Otitis Externa), skin allergies and Cerebellar Ataxia. Like many deep-chested breeds they are also at risk of Gastric Torsion (bloat).

Please be advised the information provided is purely an indicator of breed traits and characteristics and that within some breeds there can be significant variation.
