A little about the Plott Hound

The Plott Hound was traditionally bred to trail quarry and, as such, still love long walks, hunting and swimming. However, they also make excellent companions, being faithful and eager to please. At times headstrong, they can be intimidating to other small family pets.

The Plott Hound is a sturdy robust breed, with few inherited health conditions. Occasionally Canine Hip Dysplasia can be seen.

Please be advised the information provided is purely an indicator of breed traits and characteristics and that within some breeds there can be significant variation.
