A little about the Sarplaninac

The Sarplaninac was traditionally used as a livestock guardian in the mountains of Macedonia. Due to its protective instincts, working nature, and size, it is not always suitable as a pet.

The Sarplaninac is predisposed to conditions such as Gastric Torsion (Bloat) and Canine Hip Dysplasia.
